Why empathy
The tool comes after the need.
Empathy means beginning with the person, purpose and context around an object. The right answer might be a fine-detail resin print, a robust production part, several rough iterations or a workshop where someone learns to build it themselves.

What changed
We grew beyond a 3D printing service bureau.
Studio Empathy began with prototyping and hardware design. Today, the studio has a broader and more durable shape: we develop our own product collections, produce custom objects, take on focused prototyping work and build a community around making through workshops.
